Congrats James Szuch, New Master Scuba Diver!

Name: James Szuch

First scuba certification date : 1/8/2020

What has been your favorite dive?: That's tough. Every dive is great. Maybe my first night dive which I did in Jaimaca. I love diving at night. In Belize, I did a night dive in the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and then dove the same site the next morning. They are completely different experiences.

What has been your favorite scuba class you have taken?: Rescue Diver. It changes the way you think about diving, raises your awareness about your environment, and makes you a better diver.

Freshwater or saltwater diving?: Saltwater

What is one of your bucket list dives?: There are a lot of places we want to dive. But if there is one single experience we come back to it would be a Galapagos Liveaboard.

What is your “go-to” post dive meal?: I don' really have a "go-to" post dive meal. Because we frequently dive in the Caribbean, I usually end up with a mojito or campechana in my hand after we get back to shore. Does that count?

Favorite marine life?: Eagle Rays

If you could do a dive with anyone in the world (past or present) who would it be? : I need to get my adult sons diving. I'm fairly sure they will enjoy it and it would be a blast for the three of us to dive together.

Funniest scuba diving moment? : Trying to do math in my head during the navigation portion of my Advanced Open Water certification. I had nailed the basic navigation tasks and my instructor decided to throw me a curve ball and have me navigate a triangle. You try dividing 360 into thirds on the fly at 40 feet. I don't do math in my head so well on the surface and I kept getting the math wrong and my triangles became....not triangles. I swear.
